Young Justice Returns to TV With New Third Season

Batman's Nightwing and Robin return with Superboy for a third season of Young Justice.

Production has begun on a new season of Young Justice, Warner Bros. announced today in a press release. Season 3's premiere date and network, however, was not revealed.

Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood) and Greg Weisman (Star Wars: Rebels) will return for the third season as producers, but no announcements were made regarding the cast. We'll keep you updated as more is revealed.

"The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us," Warner Bros. Animation president Sam Register said. "We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series."

Young Justice ran from 2010-2013 on Cartoon Network and focused on the younger heroes of the DC Universe, including Batman's Nightwing and Robin, in addition to Superboy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Artemis, and Miss Martian. Appearances were sometimes made by more iconic characters such as Batman, Superman, and Aquaman.
