[Update] Siliconera reports that Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed Project Palm to be "Toraware no Palm (The Captive/Taken Palm)." It was featured in the magazine's App for Girls section, but was then removed.

[Original Story] Capcom has started teasing "Project Palm," which is believed to be a new game from the Japanese studio. A website for it has gone live, along with a video starring Yuichiro Umehara, a Japanese voice actor that will be involved with the title.

The website also highlights August 2, which is presumably when the game will be unveiled. There are no details beyond this, but fans have speculated that it could be related to Dragon's Dogma, the fantasy action-RPG released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.

NeoGAF user Rymuth noted that Pawns, the AI teammates in the game, often had glowing scars on their hands. You can take a look below at the Project Palm image and a screenshot of Dragons Dogma to see the similarity for yourself.

In January, Capcom producer Minae Matsukawa said Dragon's Dogma 2 was being discussed in internal meetings.

"Thanks for your interest in the series," Matsukawa said. "The Dragon's Dogma development team members often talk about the possibility of a sequel. We'd love to hear the opinions and feedback from players of the upcoming PC port of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, as that will increase the chances that we can look into the possibility of continuing the series."

Matsukawa confirmed that the original Dragon's Dogma development team is still largely intact. Since completing the first game and its expansion, they haver worked on Dragon's Dogma Online, a free-to-play game that is only available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC in Japan.

Capcom has sold 2.3 million Dragon's Dogma games.
